Master's Research Work (MRW)

What is master's research work?

Master's research work is a mandatory component of master's training, aimed at developing general and professional competencies.

It prepares the master's student for independent research culminating in the writing and defence of the master's thesis.

Period of implementation and result

MRW is conducted throughout the entire period of study in accordance with the approved master's thesis topic.

During this work, the master's student completes research tasks, analyses the results and presents them as a completed scientific work, culminating in the writing and defence of the master's dissertation.

Requirements for master's research work

For students of scientific-pedagogical and specialised master's programmes.

Compliance with the programme profile

The work is carried out within the master's programme and the dissertation topic.

Relevance and novelty

Reporting and outcomes

MRW results are recorded at the end of each academic year: the master's student undergoes assessment against the individual plan, reports to the supervisor and the department, and the final decision is recorded in the minutes.

Academic certification

Results are discussed at a department meeting and recorded in the minutes. The outcome reflects the master's student's scientific maturity.
