Vacant educational grants are provided in accordance with Order No. 443 of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 25.08.2023.
Vacant grants are awarded on a competitive basis to students enrolled on a fee-paying basis within groups of educational programs.
The competition is held based on the results of the interim assessment, using the average GPA for the entire period of study.
The university publishes the competition announcement on its official website. The Registrar's Office generates a list of vacant grants twice a year (January 1 and July 1).
In the event of an equal GPA, students with higher grades are given priority. Individuals with F or FX grades are not eligible for the competition.
Students with academic debts, as well as those transferred from foreign universities (with the exception of those holding an UNT certificate), are not eligible to participate in the competition.
Grant awards are determined based on the results of the main session (excluding F and FX retakes) by January 25 and August 5.
Candidate documents are reviewed by the dean's office, then by the University Academic Council, and are forwarded to the authorized body for a decision.
In the absence of applicants, grants are redistributed in the established order.
Based on the decision of the authorized body, a grant certificate is issued, after which the rector issues an order for transfer to grant-funded studies.
The grant recipient is required to pay for tuition before the order for its awarding is issued.
