Formal and non-formal education

Procedure for the Recognition of Learning Outcomes of Formal Education

In the event that the profile of a higher education educational program coincides with the educational program of the previous level of education, the learning outcomes of the previous level of formal education are recognized automatically.

Documents confirming the results of formal education include a diploma of the previous level of education and the diploma supplement, a certificate issued to persons who have not completed their education, and a transcript.

The basis for the recognition of additional results of formal education is a personal application submitted by the student addressed to the Chairperson of the Commission.

In this case, the student submits an application for the recognition of additional results of formal education and, accordingly, for the transfer of academic credits before the start of the trimester in which the relevant academic discipline is to be studied.

The recognition of completed academic credits is carried out on the basis of a comparison of educational programs, acquired knowledge, skills and competencies, as well as the achieved learning outcomes.

Learning outcomes fully achieved by students within the framework of academic mobility and confirmed by a transcript are recognized by KNUS on a mandatory basis.
