Fulfillment of state educational grants

Grant fulfillment is the mandatory employment activity for graduates who studied under the state educational order for a period established by law after graduation, in accordance with Clause 17, Article 47 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Education". Since 2021, graduates of bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs who studied under a state educational grant are required to work in their field of study for at least 3 (three) years. Fulfillment of this requirement is permitted in organizations regardless of their form of ownership. There is also a provision for the reimbursement of expenses incurred by the state for education, proportional to the actual period of study under the grant. In the case of transferring from a grant to a fee-paying basis or, conversely, receiving a grant during the course of study, the obligation to fulfill the grant is determined proportionally to the time spent studying at the expense of state funds.
