There are initiatives whose results can be seen immediately. And there are those whose fruits will grow for decades. The joint campaign of the Kazakh National University of Sports and the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, "Dostyq Tamyry," within the framework of the "Taza Qazaqstan" program, is exactly such a story.

A joint tree-planting campaign was held on the grounds of the Kazakh National University of Sports, bringing together faculty, staff, and students from both of the country's universities.

As part of the initiative, ENU donated about 150 saplings to KNUS. Some of the trees have already been planted on the university grounds through the joint efforts of representatives from both universities. There are plans to continue landscaping the area in the future.

"Taza Qazaqstan" is a nationwide movement implemented at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Its meaning is not limited to preserving the cleanliness of the environment. Cleanliness begins in a person's heart, their intentions, and their actions. A careful attitude toward one's native land, caring for nature, and working for the benefit of society are concrete manifestations of patriotism.

The youth of the Kazakh National University of Sports also support this initiative, demonstrating a responsible approach to the country's future. The founder of the university, Nurasyl Medeu, attaches particular importance to fostering patriotic values among young people, increasing civic responsibility, and encouraging active participation in initiatives aimed at the benefit of society.

For KNUS, this initiative is not only a contribution to the greening of the university grounds but also another step toward strengthening inter-university cooperation, developing partnerships, and creating a comfortable educational environment for students and faculty.

It should be noted that behind this joint tree-planting campaign is a person for whom educating new generations and creative labor have become a life's work. The project is led by veteran educator and Doctor of Medical Sciences, Nelya Lukpanovna Shapekova. Her participation gives the campaign special value, combining environmental care with the traditions of mentorship, responsibility, and service to society.

"Dostyq Tamyry" is not only an environmental initiative but also a manifestation of patriotism through concrete actions. Love for the Motherland begins with a careful attitude toward one's native land, respect for the environment, and a willingness to make a personal contribution to its development. By planting trees, the participants of the campaign demonstrate that patriotism is not just words, but a daily responsibility for the present and future of their country.
