Department of Postgraduate Education and Professional Development
The Department of Postgraduate Education and Professional Development is a structural unit of the Kazakh National University of Sports responsible for coordinating postgraduate education and organizing the continuous professional development of specialists in physical education, sports, education, and sports management.
The Department’s activities are aimed at ensuring the quality of master’s and doctoral training, developing students’ research potential, improving educational programmes, and expanding professional development opportunities in line with current requirements in education, research, and the relevant professional sectors.
The purpose of the Department
is to ensure high-quality training at the master’s and doctoral levels, promote research activities, and provide continuous professional development for specialists in physical education, sports, education, and sports management.

Postgraduate Education
coordinating the delivery of master’s and doctoral programmes, supporting students, and organizing the educational process.
Academic and Methodological Work
coordinating the development, revision, and improvement of educational programmes and teaching and learning materials.
Research Activities
coordinating the research activities of master’s and doctoral students and supporting their publication activity and participation in academic conferences and research projects
Dissertation Work
coordinating the preparation of master’s theses and doctoral dissertations, supporting the various stages of their completion, and organizing thesis and dissertation defenses within the Department’s area of responsibility.
Professional Development of Specialists
developing and delivering professional development and retraining programmes and organizing short-term and long-term courses.
Enhancement of Educational Technologies
introducing modern teaching methods, digital tools, and distance and blended learning formats.
Quality Assurance in Education
monitoring learning outcomes and improving educational programmes in accordance with established requirements and the needs of the relevant professional sectors.
International and Academic Cooperation
promoting academic mobility and cooperation with national and international educational and research institutions.
Engagement with the Professional Community
