WORKSHOP BY THE HEAD OF THE NATIONAL ANTI-DOPING ORGANIZATION QAZNADO HELD AS PART OF PLAY TRUE DAY 2026

On April 25, 2026, a workshop titled “Anti-Doping: Principles of Clean Sport” was held in Astana at the Kazakh National University of Sports as part of Play True Day 2026. The speaker was Maira Kabylkanovna Bakasheva, Head of the National Anti-Doping Organization QazNADO.
During the workshop, participants discussed anti-doping support, the development of a clean sport culture, the principles of fair play, and the professional responsibility of athletes, coaches, and sports industry specialists. Special attention was given to the practical aspects of compliance with anti-doping rules and the role of educational initiatives in preventing violations.
The event was held within the framework of the international Play True Day 2026 initiative with the participation of representatives of the sports community, educational institutions, sports federations, and university partners.
Participants discussed current approaches to promoting the values of clean and transparent sport, exchanged professional experience, and had the opportunity to ask questions to the expert.
More than 40 participants actively took part in the educational programme and received certificates of participation. The workshop held as part of Play True Day 2026 confirmed the importance of systematic anti-doping work, professional interaction, and the development of a culture of clean sport in Kazakhstan.
