Quality Assurance Policy

Kazakh National University of Sports (hereinafter referred to as the KNUS) is a specialized university that contributes to strong social consolidation, the formation of a nation with a shared future, and the development of a new Kazakhstani patriotism.

KNUS aims to become a leading national center for training specialists for the sports sector, whose activities are focused on the implementation of the national project “Quality Education – An Educated Nation” and the Concept for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2025.

KNUS’s Quality Assurance Policy is aimed at improving the system of training physical education teachers with modern pedagogical and professional competencies, as well as elite athletes capable of participating in national and international competitions. This is achieved through the involvement of leading international experts in the field of physical culture and sports and by ensuring the integration of education and scientific research.

KNUS’s Quality Assurance Policy promotes the development of:

a nationwide system of physical culture and sports education and upbringing through the provision of specialized lifelong education and the establishment of a training network for various population groups, taking into account individual characteristics of citizens;

elite sports, the system of training sports reserves, human resource development, and the modern scientific potential of the sector through cooperation with international sports organizations in key areas of physical culture and sports development, as well as through the operation of the Scientific and Methodological Center “Sport Education and Social Development” and the Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Palace of Martial Arts;

active promotion of sports and a healthy lifestyle among the general population by ensuring high-quality monitoring of key target groups systematically engaged in physical culture and sports, as well as through an effective information policy among key stakeholders.

Quality assurance management includes activities related to the governance of physical culture and sports education and upbringing, elite sports, the sports reserve training system, human resource provision, and a high-quality information policy.

A culture of quality is supported throughout the entire university community, including students, academic staff, and administrative and managerial personnel, with each employee recognizing their responsibility for quality assurance.

Thus, KNUS follows this Policy to achieve recognition as a leading national center for training specialists for the sports sector at both national and international levels.
