KNUS` Research and Methodological Board
The Research and Methodological Board is a scientific, methodological and expert advisory body of KNUS, designed for effective interaction of all academic segments in the framework of scientific activity, as long as the faculty of departments and other structural units are extensively involved.
The Research and Methodological Board is a consultative and advisory body of the university, which coordinates the scientific activities of KNUS in the field of fundamental and applied research, peer review of scientific and methodological works with the purpose of their further submission for publication in scientific journals.
The main goals of the Research and Methodological Board are effective coordination of the KNUS` scientific activity in terms of research within priority directions, namely sports education and science, enhancement of the research activities of the faculty and students, formation and implementation of the KNUS` scientific policy, which is to disseminate the KNUS` research achievements in the scientific and educational spheres of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as near and far-abroad countries.

Tasks of the Research and Methodological Board
- To ensure the participation of KNUS` scientific and teaching faculty in terms of scientific product design and competitive growth of scientific findings
- To preserve and develop the KNUS`s pedagogical and scientific potential
- To coordinate research activities with other research organizations in the field of fundamental and applied scientific research
- To create conditions for opening "scientific schools" within KNUS
- To select promising research works among the KNUS` scientists as nominees for innovation
- To implement the KNUS` unified scientific policy in the interests of the effective scientific development
- To promote the development of innovative activity
- To develop international relations for effective cooperation between KNUS and leading research centers in Kazakhstan, in near and far-abroad countries, including international programs and projects
Functions of the Research and Methodological Board
- To analyze the KNUS` scientific activity
- To consider and approve the main KNUS` scientific directions and programs on fundamental and applied research
- To evaluate the results of the research work (R&D) implementation on domestic agreement and state budget topics
- To consider and approve scientific and technical programs and plans for research work of KNUS` structural divisions
- To consider and approve regulation documents on the KNUS` scientific and technical activity, research implementation, coordination of scientific technical programs and research developments
- To consider and approve proposals for improving the structure of scientific divisions at KNUS
- To review and recommend scientific monographs of the KNUS` faculty and staff for publication
- To develop recommendations and proposals for improving the scientific activities of the departments at KNUS
